Our platform has redundancies at every level. In the event of a hardware, software or network failure, automatic failover occurs to bring services back online. Our high-availability hosting platform uses a combination of enterprise level hardware and software to ensure maximum reliability and mitigate data loss.

Autoscaling automatically adjusts server resources like CPU, memory, and bandwidth based on real-time traffic. This ensures that your websites remain fast and responsive during high traffic periods without any manual intervention.

Our One-Click Migration tool simplifies the process of transferring your website, databases, and emails to our platform. You just provide the login details for your current host, and our tool handles the rest, ensuring a smooth transition with no data loss or downtime.

Wetake security seriously. Our platform offers DDoS protection, WAF (Web Application Firewall), malware scanning, and two-factor authentication. Additionally, all sites come with free SSL certificates for encrypted communication, and we’re fully PCI compliant for secure ecommerce hosting.

As a small and growing business, we don't include domain names for free. We do how however, offer some of the lowest-priced domains in the UK without the huge price increase after the first year.

Domain Name FAQs

Our main business is web hosting, so we don’t seek to make a huge profit on domain pricing. If you buy a domain through us, you’ll enjoy the service and consider hosting your website with us.

There are a couple of different ways, but the easiest is to go to your control panel and select Transfer Domain. Our tag is STACK.

You can find out more by contacting support or visit our Domain Name Support Database

.uk domains are transferred instantly, so they’ll appear in your My20i account straight away.

.com, .net, .org and most other domains take 5-7 days to transfer. Your website and emails remain live during this time – this is just the time it takes the registry to process the transfer.

We work on an autorenewal basis, that means you don’t have to worry about your domains expiring.

We will send you a reminder to renew your domain name one month prior to the expiry date. You can renew the domain registration manually from the renewal section in your account at any time.

If your domain name registration has expired, the domain will enter the process of being deleted from the registry and you will lose control over the domain name. When the process is complete, it will be freely available for anyone to register.

For most TLDs (like .com, .uk, .org etc.) we offer a 30 day grace period to renew the registration. After this there is a 30 day redemption period in which you can still renew the registration, but there is an extra fee for this process.

There are some TLDs which are regulated in a way that don’t allow for a grace and/or redemption period (e.g. .io) and are directly available for anyone to register when expired.

There are some regulations you have to follow when registering your TLD. We have summarised them in our support article here: Restrictions and rules on domain names

A domain name on its own does not class as intellectual property in the UK. The actual content of a website will be protected by copyright laws.

No, you cannot buy a domain name permanently. The registration of domain names works on yearly contracts. You can pay upfront for up to 10 years to have your TLD secured.

Yes, you can use any WordPress plugins and themes, although we’d always recommend getting them from reputable providers.

Some plugins won’t be necessary, as our WordPress Hosting includes many features offered traditionally by plugins. An example would be our CDN Web Acceleration Suite, which performs performance optimisation on images and code at the server level. Another would be the WordPress Manager, which enables you to manage all your WordPress websites – things like updates and users – across all your websites from a single screen. We have a bunch of security features that can’t usually be found anywhere except through plugins.

Reducing the number of plugins that you use tends to improve website performance.

It’s quick and easy to set up a WordPress staging environment. Select the WordPress Staging icon, then ‘Create Staging Site’. Your website will then be cloned to staging. Here, you can make changes and view the results without affecting your live website.
